סְקַבPa. סַקֵּיב (Saf. of נ־קב; cmp. נקף I a. נגף) to make sore. B. Mets.27b (read:) לא שאילי אינשי אוכפא משום דמְסַקֵּב ליה לחמרא people do not borrow a saddle, because it makes sore the ass back (which it does not fit; Ms. M. לא שיילי … דמְסַקֵּיב להו לחמרייהו people do not lend …, for it makes their asses backs sore, after having been worn by a strange ass; v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note); Yeb.120b לא שיולו … דמסקיבוכ׳ (read שיילי).
